Anyone else counting down to Christmas??!! There are so many things we LOVE about Christmas! So many reasons we are thankful this time of the year…for the birth of Jesus, spending time with family, Christmas lights, tree decorating, traditions, playing in the snow, hot cocoa, Santa, presents, for the movie Elf (If you haven’t seen it, you might want to check it out:) and so much more!
This cute little Countdown Frame was super easy to make; it seriously took me less than 30 minutes! I originally thought of painting a Chalkboard Countdown Charger but then I realized I would have to go buy the paint, tape the charger, paint it, wait for it to dry for a few hours, decorate it…ain’t nobody got time for that! Using some things I already had around the house (like an extra Ikea frame & letter stickers) and a short trip to Hobby Lobby (I always have time for that), I made this super simple and cute Countdown Frame that is now sitting on our fireplace mantle!
The materials I used:
- Ikea Frame
- Piece of Scrapbook Paper
- Chalkboard Sticker
- Letter Stickers
- Burlap Embellishment (not pictured, added later)
- Chalk & a Pen
Step 1: Take frame glass out and use it to trace the shape of the frame on the scrapbook paper.
Step 2: Cut out Scrapbook Paper
Step 3: Layout/Add Chalkboard & Lettering Stickers
Step 4: Add Embellishment
Step 5: Put into frame with glass BEHIND the countdown page so you have a hard surface to write on.
Step 6: Time to decorate! Our cute countdown frame fit perfectly on the fireplace mantle! 25 days ’til Christmas!
