My friend Stephanie and I took a girls day and went shopping at The Barn in Castle Rock, CO. If you’ve never been to to The Barn, it is totally worth stopping in and shopping all the unique, antique and eclectic home decor and gift items!
As we finished our shopping excursion, we came across a beautiful handmade little wood votive holder. I LOVED it! So simple, so beautiful. Stephanie took a picture of it and sent it to her Dad in Michigan who loves wood working. She asked if he could make one for me but larger with five votives for my dining room table. About a week ago, she brought me this absolutely stunning wood votive centerpiece as a gift that her dad hand-made out of the wood from a red wine barrel. I was in absolute awe that someone I have never met was so generous to take the time to hand-craft such an amazing gift for me!
The ambiance this beautiful piece added to our Thanksgiving dinner was so warm and inviting. We decorated under and around it with fresh greenery, berries and pumpkins. We gave thanks around the table and ate.
We were missing a lot of family this year as we are now spread out across the country! Though some of you couldn’t be here this Thanksgiving, you were in our hearts, prayers and we gave thanks for each and every one of you! May you all have a blessed holiday season!
