Shared from the kitchen of Aunt Linda (Olson).  This queso was a standard holiday party favorite growing up.  It is enough to serve 15+ people.

Time Needed:  2 hrs (crock pot – no cooking required)


  • 2-pound package of Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can of stewed tomatoes, squish to break up
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 small cans diced green chili


Put all ingredients in a crock pot. Cook on low for about 2 hours. Stir as necessary.
